This week, it's all about fancy drinks, dips and fabulous desserts! Here's what's dishing on the blogs we follow:
On the drinks list, we have boozy cocktails, frozen beverages and immunity boosters! Linda from Dinner Plan-it enjoyed a Summer State of Mind rum drink. At Simply Romanesco, I paired coffee and ice cream in a frothy Viennese Iced Coffee. And Leah from Brazen Kitchen went for a delicious Cleansing Beet Juice.
Although the Super Bowl has come and gone, having big bowls of satisfying dips on hand is always a good idea. Jessica from How Sweet It Is turned dinner into dip with a tasty Cheesy Chicken Enchilada Dip. The Brown Eyed Baker made an addictive Spinach Dip for the game day. Sincerely Caroline shared a melty and gluten-free Buffalo Chicken Dip. Katy whipped up an epic Three Layer Black Bean, Salsa, and Avocado Dip in her BakingDomesticityandAllThingsMini kitchen. And Chef Chuck from Cooks and Eats prepared a sweet and tangy Asian Dipping Sauce that goes particularly well with seared Ahi tuna.
On the sweet spectrum, Liz from Stiller Snacks opted for an old-fashioned Chocolate Peanut Butter Football Cake and a homemade Super Bowl Sundae, while Chef Chuck baked chewy and flavorful Michigan Rock Cookies at Cooks and Eats.
Finally, Yum Yum dined at Silk Elephant in Squirrel Hill, the girls from eatPGH enjoyed brunch at Stagioni in the South Side, and Bill from Three Dogs BBQ went all the way to Harrisonburg, Va. for Jack Brown's Beer and Burger Joint.
