What's dishing on the blogs: A super-loaded menu!

This week, we have an over-packed menu from appetizers to main courses and desserts. Here's what's dishing on the blogs we follow:

Let's start with the appetizer menu! Linda from Dinner Plan-it threw together homemade Sweet & Smoky Chipotle Toffee Nuts that go particularly well with a good beer or a margarita. Jessica from How Sweet It Is whipped up creamy and flavorful Jalapeño Honey Hummus with Spiced Olive Oil Tortilla Chips, and on Sabor PGH you'll get to indulge in Pupusas, tasty corn-tortilla-like stuffed dough. Yum!

Moving on to main courses, Leah from Brazen Kitchen offered us a healthy Start-the-Year-Right Salad. Katy made an epic Apricot Chicken with Quinoa Salad in her BakingDomesticityandAllThingsMini kitchen, while Bill from Three Dogs BBQ opted for a lip-smacking Smoked Venison Shoulder Roast. From salad to venison, there's something delicious for everyone!

On the sweet spectrum, we're talking cookies... mainly. Chef Chuck baked citrusy Orange Chocolate Cookies at Cooks and Eats; the Brown Eyed Baker made nicely dense Colossal Peanut Butter Cup Chocolate Cookies; whereas Yum Yum went for another chocolate concoction – light Chocolate Madeleines. Now, if you're craving something more than cookies, try the mouthwatering Barry Bananas Foster with Bacon that Liz from Stiller Snacks prepared.

Finally, the burgh's restaurant scene is busy with Pittsburgh Restaurant Week in full swing this week. Aside from that, D&T: in the burgh tried the Urban Tap in the South Side and spent New Year's Eve at Notion, while the girls from eatPGH checked out the OMG menu at e2.
