This week, it's all about summer cocktails, grilling and dining out. I guess we're slowly but surely getting ready for Fourth of July. Here's what's dishing on the blogs we follow:
The Brown Eyed Baker stirred up a delicious Chocolate Italian Cream Soda, and a fantastic Strawberry Pimm's Cup Cocktail. Kids will love the first one and adults will opt for the latter!
Leah from Brazen Kitchen spoiled us with three summer cocktails – Cucumber Lemon Mint Cooler, Watermelon Agua Fresca and Pineapple Coconut Mint Slush. The best part is, you'll be refreshed and sober after drinking them – they're alcohol free!
On the boozy side, Katy fixed a glorious Moscow Mule Cocktail, and to go with that a simple and tasty Smashed Avocado and Chick Pea Wrap in her BakingDomesticityandAllThingsMini kitchen. Summer has officially arrived!
Linda from Dinner Plan-it prepared skewered Moinks in the smoker, and spiked Pineapple, Jalapeno, Bourbon BBQ Baked Beans; while Nicole from Yum Yum grilled some Tiger Shrimp, and the Herby Cucumber Salad is the perfect accompaniment. Yes, grilling season is in full swing!
Finally, the restaurant scene has been a busy one: on the Pittsburgh Hot Plate, Chef Chuck paid a visit to Roman Bistro and to Vanilla Pastry Studio for some sweet treats. D&T: in the burgh ventured to Park Bruges in Highland Park, and to Allegheny City Smokehouse; while the girls from eatPGH headed over to Stagioni.
