Here's what's dishing on Lou and Louis's blog:
This week, I want to introduce you to a less conventional local blog: Pittsburgh Tendo Review. This is not your typical recipe blog. Instead, Pittsburghers "Lou and Louis Lewis" share their personal reviews "where you can learn all about the region's best chicken bits" including chicken tenders, chicken nuggets, and chicken wings, fried and breaded. Each review is informative, colorful, honest, and packed with pictures. All reviews start with intriguing quotes from Mother Theresa to Bob Marley, and end with an overall rating of "smiling, buffalo-sauce-covered mouths."
On Pittsburgh Tendo Review, you'll find excellent reviews of local joints such as Nied's Hotel and Arsenal Lanes in Lawrenceville, Bahama Breeze in Robinson, Texas Roadhouse in Bridgeville, and Carl's Tavern in Monroeville; as well as places such as Allentown Fairgrounds Farmers Market in Allentown, Sheetz in Breezewood, The Great American Steak & Chicken House in Branson, Mo., and Guy's American Kitchen & Bar in New York City. So brace yourself and check out Pittsburgh Tendo Review – you're in for a treat, laughs, and lots of great chicken reviews!
And, in non-chicken-related news, I made Nutella Filled Cookies at Simply Romanesco while on the Pittsburgh Hot Plate, Chef Chuck prepared Herb Grilled Halibut with Citrus. Katy went for a Cajun Shrimp Frittata in her Baking, domesticity, and all things mini kitchen, and Culinary Cory opted for Meat Lovers Chili.
I'm back from my trip and I'll see you here next week!
