Here's what's dishing this week on the blogs we follow:
At Simply Romanesco, I made a wonderful and super easy four-ingredient Orange-Lemon Ice Cream. So creamy yet light and ideal for dressing up your favorite dessert; and perfect regardless of season!
Michelle, the Brown Eyed Baker, shared memories and recipes: a quick Peanut Butter-Banana Bread with Chocolate Chips, and stunning Oreo Cheesecake Bars. Peanut butter, chocolate, Oreos... what else could you ask for?
Chef Chuck was very generous on the Pittsburgh Hot Plate. On his menu this week: Homemade Cornbread, Potato Skins with Bacon, and a flavorful Vegetarian Black Bean Burger. He also paid a visit to the newly opened Bonefish Grill in the South Hills where he enjoyed a copious meal that included Bang Bang Shrimp, Chilean Sea bass and Chocolate Crème Brulee.
Katy prepared Homemade Marshmallows and a fancy Garlic Parmesan Breaded Chicken in her BakingDomesticityandAllThingsMini kitchen. No more boring chicken!
Linda from Dinner Plan-it took Restaurant Week by storm and tried several great restaurants: Verde Mexican Kitchen & Cantina, Alma Pan-Latin Kitchen, Habitat, Up Modern Kitchen, and Kaleidoscope Cafe.
D&T: in the burgh also dined out during Restaurant Week at Legume Bistro, Girasole, and Savoy Restaurant. All solid choices!
Finally, the girls from eatPGH made Red Velvet Cheesecake Dip, and enjoyed Pineapple Fried Rice with tofu at Nicky's Thai Kitchen.
See you here next week!
