This summer, Willow will get a facelift

Written by Melissa McCart on

WillowWillow Restaurant will undergo renovation this summer, confirms partner Richard Stern. The restaurant is in the process of joining  S + P Restaurant Group, which includes Spoon and BRGR in East Liberty and Grit & Grace, Downtown.

Though Mr. Stern did not provide specifics on the rebrand, "We're planning to make it more casual and more social," he said. The upstairs will be "more event-friendly."

Extensive renovations will require Willow to close sometime in July. S+P plans to reopen Willow sometime near the end of August.

Willow opened in the North Hills in 2004, co-owned by chef Michael Rudman, who went on to open Luma in Aspinwall and Mt. Lebanon. The Aspinwall location has closed and Mr. Rudman is no longer connected to the Mt. Lebanon location.
