Feast of the 7 Fishes at Vivo tomorrow

vivoMelissa Clark writes about the Feast of the Seven Fishes for the New York Times this week, where she professes her love for the Italian-American tradition.

"In a holiday season dominated by roasted fowl and hearty braised meats," she writes, "a meal reveling in the bounty of the sea is novel and refreshing. It's at least as sumptuous as turkey and ham, and a welcome change in the dead of winter."

Over the years, her menu has included scallops with Champagne sauce, lobster risotto and cioppino.

If Ms. Clark has stirred your appetite, Vivo Kitchen in Sewickley has seats available for a family-style Feast of the Seven Fishes on Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Dinner starts at 6:15 p.m. and the cost is $65 per person, excluding tax and service. For reservations, call 412-259-8945.
