Our friend and Post-Gazette art critic Mary Thomas shared with us an art project that readers of The Forks might like to be part of.

Local artist Barbara Weissberger, who sometimes works some food into her art (see above), is seeking people's cell-phone food photos to include next month in a wall collage titled "Fooding."

The collage is part of the group exhibiton “Crowdsourced” at Downtown's SPACE Gallery,  curated by Robert Raczka.

Gallery visitors who wish to donate their cell-phone photos of food will be able to print them at the gallery with the help of Ms. Weissberger from 1 to 9 p.m. during the opening day of Friday, July 12. This is part of the regular Cultural Trust Gallery Crawl from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

The detail above is from Ms. Weissberger's 2012 installation "Meat Horizon" at the Holter Museum of Art in Helena, Montana.
