Penguins' official cupcake

We've loved their baked goods from the get-go. But now it's official: The Pittsburgh Penguins love Dozen Bake Shop, too. So much so, that the Lawrenceville bakery's desserts -- you also can find them at their new Oakland location -- have been named the "Official Cupcake of the Pittsburgh Penguins."
What's that mean for hockey fans traveling to Consol Energy Center for home games such as tonight's home opener against the Maple Leafs?
You'll now be able to find their sweet treats at Dozen's very own concession stand inside the arena, at the top of the escalators near the Trib Total Media Gate on the FedEx Ground Concourse level.

If you're lucky enough to score premium seats to an upcoming game, you also may be able to enjoy their cupcakes via the dessert carts that visit various suites. They'll also be offered in the Lexus Club.
Or maybe you'd rather learn how to re-create that luscious taste at home so you can eat a cupcake anytime you want. There still are spaces in the pastry shop's upcoming Valentine's Day Extravaganzzzza! on Sat., Feb 2. Classes include a Cakepop workshop ($55), Fondant-Covered Heart Cake class ($65) and a Valentine's Day Cupcake Bouquet class ($65). You can find more information here, or call 412-683-2327.
