Garfield Night Market 1 is Friday

Written by Bob Batz Jr. on

We love night markets, which seem to be really catching on here in Pittsburgh.

Garfield is holding its first one Friday, in conjunction with the neighborhood's regular first-Friday Unblurred event.

From 6 to 10 p.m., North Pacific Avenue beween Penn Avenue and Dearborn Street will be taken over by vendors, including the Franktuary truck and Fukuda's Lomito truck, the Creped Crusader, as well as the local Healcrest Farm and Abby's Sweets and Treats.

There's food and drinks as part of Unblurred, too, including at Artisan Tatto Gallery at 501 Penn Ave., where food artist Jon Beck will serve his all-natural stuff, as will Zeke's Coffee. Mr. Beck says he'll be doing "a Mediterranean-Asian fusion menu, all plates under $5," featuring a Mediterranean tuna salad, fermented Asian sauces, avocado salad and gluten-free mini coconut tortes.
