Broccoli spheres anyone?

I've long enjoyed the writings of Big Burrito Executive Chef Bill Fuller, and his column in this month's Eat.big newsletter is another keeper, as he muses on a much-maligned vegetable, which I started seeing on the stalks last week at local farmers markets. Among his findings:

"5. Don’t tell your kids that their name is Brussels sprouts. I made this error and, if a time machine is invented in my life, I will go back and correct that moment. 'Broccoli Spheres' seems like it could work."

I just missed Chef this morning on WYEP, where at 7:30 a.m. on Fridays he offers food "Pairings" to go with Cindy Howes' music picks. Cool.
